My consistent involvement with the arts is what encouraged me to pursue a career in Art Education. My first college class was a theater tech class. There I met my professor Dave who took me under his wing, and implemented my artistic talents into scenic painting, and set building. After graduating he hired me as a PT employee. From then on I got paid to do what I loved to do. Dave was my inspiration because he is the definition of what a positive influence a good teacher can be, and it made me want to be a part of that world. During his class I would take what Dave taught me, and teach the new students to paint those same techniques. I found that I really enjoyed passing on what I've learned to others. This brought me into my new path to Art Education.
